I want to thank the SOBs that served on the Board this year. Our board is all volunteers and do valuable, mostly behind the scene work to make the club the success that it is. The 2011 Board members are:

Anyone wanting to serve on the Board needs to let me know by October 27 at the “End of the Year Luncheon”.
Someone not on the Board but deserves a very special thanks is Herb Schon for developing the new SOBs jersey/kits.
Herb writes, “ The kits should be arriving here on October 18. You can arrange to pick up your order from here in El Dorado. We're at 4 Balsa Place. Directions from 285 South. Turn right at traffic light on Ave. Vista Grande and proceed to end of paved road (stop sign). Turn left onto Ave Casa del Oro and continue to the bottom of hill where you turn left onto Balsa Road. Go up Balsa Rd to first street, Balsa Place. Turn right, we're at #4 on left. Phone if you're picking up... 466-2955. There is an SOB ride on the 20th of October and if you request your items will be brought there. (this could be a good tune up for the White Sands Century on Oct. 22...is anyone doing this epic ride?) Finally, the following week, they should be available at the Old Souls Fiesta, wherever that is.”
This year Karin and Richard Roth have volunteered to host the “End of the Year Luncheon”. Karin will prepare the food and the SOB’s treasury will pay for the ingredients. For that reason she needs to know how many people to plan for. If you just think you are going to attend please e-mail her your intentions : KarinRoth@msn.com.
The luncheon is for members only and will follow the regular scheduled ride that leaves from Solano Center at 10:30. Anyone wanting to drink alcohol must provide their own. If you are not doing the ride the luncheon is planned to start at 12:00.
This year’s awards will include: Board Member Certificates, Club 20, Elite 80, Ride Leaders, Silver City Tour participants, SOB Newcomers and who knows what else. So plan to attend!
