Due to smoke in the Bandelier area a major change has been made to the remaining rides in the SOB schedule. Basically the White Rock/Bandolier ride scheduled for this  Thursday (July 21) has been rescheduled for Oct. 13. The remaining scheduled rides have been moved up 1 week. So the ride this Thursday is the Villanueva ride which was scheduled for next week. You should go to the new scheduled which is posted on santafesobs.com. and print out the new schedule. It is  our hope that the fire/smoke will not prohibit the White Rock/Bandolier ride on Oct. 13th.

If you have not already done so, you may wish to make your hotel reservations for the Silver City trip in September.  The information is at http://blog.santafesobs.com/ in a June 2 post.  I know that some people have reserved at the Palace Hotel and others have reserved at the Bear Mountain Lodge.  Once you have made your reservations, please send an e-mail to Lynn Pickard email Lynn and tell her where you are staying, how many will be in your party, and what days you have reserved.  She will be coordinating the trip and will be at the Palace Hotel.  She's reserved for a Monday arrival and Friday departure, with a late check-out request, which the reservation clerk said ought to be able to be honored.  According to Google maps, the mileage to Silver City is 297 and it takes about 5 1/2 hours to get there.  

Also, she is looking for people to lead and sweep A, B, and C rides.  If you are interested in doing that, please let her know in the e-mail.  Once she has the volunteers, she will set up a meeting of them to plot the courses more exactly than appears on the web site.  She will also set up a get together so that people can get exact information on the rides, make transportation arrangements, and take care of any loose ends.  These events may take place at the same time in late August or early September.  When you send her your e-mail, please also tell her when you are available or unavailable during the weeks of August 22, August 29, and September 5.  

At present there are: 6 Bottoms, 9 SS tops, 6 LS tops.ordered.

With the efforts of all, we can certainly reach 25 in each category. Actually we only need 15 SS tops for the 25 minimum.
