SOBs Info Notes
Judy Costlow is featured in the Sunday, June 12th issue of the Santa Fe New Mexican. Check the Local News section C pg. 8. I learned a lot about Judy which made me appreciate her even more. We are so fortunate to have her on the SOB’s board. To read the article, click here
On June 25th (Saturday, 5 pm) at the Travel Bug, Judy will be speaking about her 2007 bike tour from Bariloche, Argentina to Puerto Montt, Chile. It was standing room only the last time she spoke so be sure to arrive early.
Also check the news stands for a free copy of the current issue of 'Local Flavor, The Outdoor Issue' on pages 36 - 37. The article Joyride features several photos of the SOBs taken at the May 26th ride meeting at Fort Marcy.
Reenie Jackson-Schon wrote :
“The jerseys are expected to ship late next week. They may arrive by Friday, 6/17 or after the following weekend. I may be gone to the BTC by the latter time and if so Irene and Devon will distribute them at the next Thursday ride. If you prefer, phone here at 466-2995 and you can arrange to pick yours up. They'll be on the bench out front.”
Liz Simon is documenting our rides in photographs on her blog. At present she is working with Ian Norrish to link them to the SOBs web site. By the way Ian has done maps and elevation data for some of our rides. Be sure to check out the web page: santafesobs.com.
Herb Schon has been posting a ride schedule that conflicts with the SOBs posted ride schedule. On Tuesdays the SOBs have a scheduled ride that leaves from Java Joes in DeVargas Mall at 9:00 am. The Thursday rides are posted on the web site: santafesobs.com. This Thursday Ian Norrish is leading the A group to Truchas, Ramon Parcells is leading the B riders on the Chimayo Loop, and Pam Parfitt will lead the C s to Chimayo.
The current membership is at 84 and the average ride attendance is 28. It is hard to believe that we have completed 10 weeks of riding or 1/3 of the way through the regular season. As of today: Dale Goering, Judy Costlow, and Edwin Crosswhite have perfect attendance.
