Thursday's Ride

Hi All you SOB's,  Our next ride is scheduled to start at 9:30 at the I-25  Off ramp to Cochiti Pueblo.  Edwin and I have decided it is not appropriate to do the two Pueblo rides.  Kewa (Santo Domingo) Pueblo was hit with a freak hail storm almost two weeks ago. 90% of their homes were flooded and now mold has started to grow in them.  They are being evacuated and need help.  I am suggesting that we ride the two dams - Galisteo and Cochiti instead.  And for anyone who would like to contribute to the Kewas, we will take it to the Kewa Community Center after the ride.  They need cleaning and roofing supplies, tarps, face masks, gloves, nonperishable foods, diapers, clothing and blankets, and always money.

So, we will see you on Thursday ready to ride and after the ride we will take any donations you bring to the Kewa Community Center.  Thank you all so much for helping out our neighbors.  Judy

PS I don't have everyone's email address.  So, if you see I have missed anyone, please forward this message.  Thanks

Here are the Route Slips for the ride:

Here is the route slip for the Two Dams Ride. It is written to do the Tetilla Peak Rec. area which overlooks the Rio Grande Dam first.  The round trip distance to Tetilla is 27 miles and anyone that wanted to add the 15 miles to the Galisteo Dam could decide when you regroup at the parking area.

Another way of organizing the rides is the A ride could do both Dams (42 miles), the B ride just to Tetilla (27 miles), and the C ride to Galisteo Dam (15 miles). You could be the ride leader for both the A and B routes and I would be will to do the C group.
